The town of Tazovsky is a district center of the Tazovsky District of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District, located 200 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle. As of January 1, 2014, the population of the village is 7 339 people.

Stop overnight at 20 km from Antipayuta. According to the administration of the village, in Antipayut (together with the tundra population) there are slightly more than two thousand Nenets, about three hundred – Russian, more than eighty – other nationalities. In total, 2600 people live in the tundra and the village.
