In the near future, the nature itself reminds us that we are on the territory of the Great Arctic State Nature Reserve – we are passing through the herds of wild reindeer, immediately there are wolf packs nearby. Distribution of wolves in the Northern Taimyr is focal. On a larger territory they are rare and only a few places are found constantly. This is, as a rule, the habitat of the reindeer.

It is interesting that under the white fur of animals there is a dark, almost black skin. But this secret is given only to the nose and tongue. Woolly polar bears are hollow inside. When kept in zoos, in a warmer climate, bears can suddenly turn yellow, even greenish. The fact is that microscopic algae settle inside the hollow wool. Nature took good care of her creations, protecting them from freezing: the cushions of the polar bear’s paws are covered with wool, so they are not cold even in the worst frost.
